BUTTERFLY GARDEN

Butterfly Garden — Pure Georgette Bandhani Saree

Inspired by the fleeting beauty of a garden in full bloom, Butterfly Garden captures the rhythm of butterflies moving between flowers, leaves, and branches. Crafted in six metres of pure georgette, this saree brings together the delicacy of nature with a contemporary interpretation of Bandhani.

Traditional Bandhani motifs are simplified and reimagined alongside Sargam-inspired forms, butterflies, and floral illustrations, creating a playful yet refined composition. The motifs flow across the deep violet body in high contrast, with crisp white Bandhani dots creating a striking visual language against the rich, dark ground.

The pallu takes inspiration from a natural green veil—a delicate tangle of branches, leaves, and flowing plant forms, reminiscent of a garden canopy. Leaf structures inspired by the money plant and other organic foliage are interpreted through geometric lines and structured borders, creating a dialogue between the organic and the architectural.

With its deep violet palette, luminous white dots, generous breathing space, and fusion of traditional motifs with contemporary illustration, Butterfly Garden is a celebration of nature interpreted through a new-school Bandhani vocabulary.

Designed for the evening, it lends itself beautifully to cocktail evenings, tea parties, Qawwali nights, late-evening gatherings, celebrations, and intimate soirées—a statement of handcrafted heritage with a distinctly modern spirit.
