BANDHANI

A LEGACY TIED IN TIME

Bandhani is one of India's most ancient textile traditions, celebrated for
its intricate hand-tying techniques and timeless beauty. In the Kutch region of
Gujarat, this craft has been nurtured for generations, carrying stories of
culture, craftsmanship, and identity.

Our Bandhani collection is deeply rooted in the village of Tera, in Abdasa
Taluka of Kutch—a place renowned for its authentic Rahi Bandhej, where both men
and women practised the art of tying the finest Bandhani dots by hand. Growing
up amidst heirloom sarees worn by our grandmothers and mothers, we witnessed
the elegance and craftsmanship that defined this living tradition.

Inspired by these memories, we are committed to preserving and
reinterpreting the heritage of Kutchi Bandhani. Crafted in pure silk and pure
georgette, our textiles draw inspiration from traditional motifs such as Baram
Bhat, Ambadar, Shikari, Ras Mandali, Sargam, and Dani, while also embracing
contemporary, simplified geometric expressions. Architectural elements from the
palace and its intricate jharokhas further inform our designs, creating a
dialogue between history and modernity.

Every piece is a tribute to the artisans of Kutch and to the princely-era
craftsmanship that continues to inspire us. Through this collection, we strive
to preserve authenticity, revive forgotten traditions, and carry the legacy of
Bandhani forward for generations to come.
